I am overdue for a decent introduction thread here, as I have been occupied with my automobile since acquiring it last summer. I would want to present my accomplishments and display some photographs. Hope you enjoy it.
All my work has been DIY, save for bodywork painting and re-trimming.
Facade
Factory grey front and rear grilles repainted in gloss black, similar to the V10+, but not in matte grey. Particularly at the headlights.
Honeycomb grille equipped with an authentic Gen2 facelift front logo (the grille backing plate was sanded to get a contrasting matte surface, enhancing the distinction from the gloss black honeycomb and emulating the OEM appearance of other Audi RS vehicles).
Headlights de-chromed (split, painted and new lenses attached). I have done this with many vehicles already. Not suitable for the timid!
The Factory V10+ carbon front splitter has been removed and replaced with a Maxton front splitter with an OEM gloss black lip.
Maxton side splitters installed. Maxton wing installed (colour matched with gloss black uprights). I also constructed brackets for this to tie it to the chassis to stop to it from swaying about like some that are just bolted through the OEM pop-up spoiler.
Gloss black emblems throughout.
20" Veemann VC580R alloy wheels with Conti Sport Contact 7 tires.
Rear OEM V10+ splitter finished in gloss black.
Interior
Steering wheel, airbag cover, and other interior trimmings reupholstered in jet black Alcantara with red stitching.
Audi B9 S5 seats retrimmed to match (leather with Alcantara centres), with side sections painted in Brilliant Red to match the body work (electric adjustment and heating all working but I've not tried to get bolster and lumbar adjustment working yet as these require LIN and CAN connections - on my list to experiment with).
Crimson seat belts.
Post-market Pioneer Double DIN radio with RTA surround (painted in gloss and matt black).
Aftermarket RS-style mats from Autostyle UK installed.
The Audi AMI has been replaced with a single DIN compartment and a Connects2 slot-in wireless phone charger.
Door pocket lights installed (utilising Rocket Wires Mk2 TT bespoke harnesses).
Engine bay mesh coated in gloss black.
Still to be done
Door cards should be reupholstered to match the seats.
The instrument cluster cowl is to be reupholstered to match the rest of the interior.
The roof is scheduled to be coated in gloss black this month. I am contemplating the painting of the brake callipers, but I remain undecided.
In addition to the aforementioned, I have rejuvenated some bolts and plastic interior trim panels to get a factory-fresh appearance.
