Hello, I own a 2012 L200, equipped with a 178hp 2.5L D-ID engine. The issue is that it overheats and expels coolant.
When the automobile is idle, it expels water from the radiator. There is no heating in the cabin. I assume the head gasket may be compromised; nevertheless, I am enquiring about other prevalent concerns that may result in this, such as a fractured cylinder head.

I conducted a pressure test on the cooling system, increasing the pressure to 2 bar, with no leaks detected. Nevertheless, if I establish a vacuum in the cooling system, the pressure diminishes rapidly.

It seems that you may be experiencing a restriction to regular flow.
Do the interior heating controls operate as expected?
Commencing from a chilly state, with the radiator cap removed...
After the thermostat has opened, is there visible water flow while seeing the radiator cap opening?

Thank you!
Indeed, it started with the vehicle overheating during operation, and the temperature gauge ascended into the red zone. Upon bringing the vehicle home, I replenished the radiator with water and conducted a test. All the water is expelled via the expansion tank during operation. The cabin lacks any heating. However, if I detach the radiator cap and start the engine, water expels from the radiator. The water remains unblended with the oil.

Is your engine a 4D56 twin-cam engine? If it is the same engine used in Australian automobiles, then there is a problem over the machining of the cylinder block face. Mitsubishi Motors in Australia had replaced thousands of these engines under warranty due to that specific issue.

Affirmative, 4D56U 16V.

My vehicle has accumulated 260,000 km and is not under any warranty. Are you indicating that the problem is with the engine block or the cylinder head?

I am now apprehensive.

If the cause of the overheating parallels that of Australian automobiles, there is an inadequate surface on the cylinder block face. This may be machined to a smooth surface.
