Two inquiries. Measurement of oil? Winter tires?

I have two brief inquiries on my 600-mile '24 P530.

1. Is there a computerized method for measuring oil? I visit the service page, which displays the Castrol logo; however, it has not shown in 600 miles.

I need a set of winter wheels. I own the optional 23-inch variant. I saw in a YouTube video that a metal adapter associated with the brakes must be replaced while changing wheels.

Is that accurate?

Thank you!

I like that the 3.0 Ingenium is equipped with a dipstick, since it allows for visual and tactile assessment of the oil level. Perhaps the V8 have one as well?

The 2024 P530 is equipped with a BMW V8 engine that has a dipstick for oil level assessment.
It is painted yellow and located on the front left side of the engine when facing the passenger compartment.
I really like the electronic dipstick of my previous Range Rover Sport SVR.

No, dipsticks are a nostalgic reference. Initially, you can confirm that the oil has been replaced. If the transition occurs from dark to clear, it indicates that the store fulfilled its obligations. Many establishments either neglect to do oil changes or execute them inadequately. Additionally, there is no need to wait for a designated moment when the vehicle determines it is appropriate for you to check the oil level. Ultimately, you may physically manipulate the oil between your fingertips to detect particles. While this may seem rather implausible, your engine would need to sustain significant damage to detect metal fragments; yet, it remains a consideration. Significantly superior than the computerized system, in my view.

It is fortunate that they have watching windows, allowing me to see the tasks they neglected to do for which they are billing me.

What constitutes a new iteration of the BMW V8? I am astonished that it remains a dipstick. I believe that BMWs do not possess traditional dipsticks; instead, they use computerized systems. I pondered why Range Rover would include a manual dipstick retroactively. 😂

New BMW V8 models are equipped with both manual and electronic options. My 2024 Alpina XB7 has the same engine, enhanced with an Alpina tuning. Dipstick is available.

Attention: The electronic reading requires 20-30 minutes of moderate driving. Ensure the vehicle is parked on level ground, the engine is running, and the service app is open. It will indicate the oil level. Any vigorous driving or rapid turns before checking will obstruct the vision; it is exasperating but effective.
