Q:
Engine light on after repair – what could be the issue?
I recently repaired my salvage car but the engine warning light is still on.
What could be the possible reason and how can I fix it?
Looking for suggestions.

Best step is to scan the car with an OBD scanner to see the exact error code.

It’s also possible the original issue is still there or only partially fixed.

Sometimes mechanics forget to clear the error codes after fixing the problem.

Also check simple things like the fuel cap—it can trigger the light.

Common issue is a loose sensor or connector not properly plugged back in.

First, don’t panic. This usually means something small was missed during the repair.

Then go back to the mechanic with that code—they can quickly fix the exact issue.
