Where to find affordable OEM parts for salvage cars without getting scammed?

I recently bought a salvage car and I’m struggling to find genuine OEM parts at a reasonable price. Most online sellers are either overpriced or I’m not sure if they are trustworthy.
Has anyone here found reliable sources or tricks to get original parts without spending too much?

I recommend building a relationship with one trusted dismantler. Once they know you, they give better prices and even reserve parts for you.

There is a trick: search Google with “part number + used” instead of just part name. You’ll find hidden sellers.

Don’t go for “cheap new aftermarket” parts for critical things like airbags or engine components. Always prefer used OEM for safety.

If you have VIN number, go to dealership parts desk and ask for exact OEM part code. Then search that code online — it reduces mistakes.

eBay is good but you need to be careful. Always check seller ratings and ask for actual part numbers before ordering. I got scammed once by a fake listing.

I usually check local junkyards first. You can find OEM parts in good condition for almost 40–60% cheaper than online prices. Just inspect properly before buying.
